ET2 Quasar LED Rhombus Pendant Light

Quasar is an elongated rhombus of ribbed, light-guiding acrylic with a Polished Chrome ring at its middle. It tapers to a point at each end and hangs as a single mini pendant.

The finish is Polished Chrome. Glass: Patterned Acrylic.

The Design Story

ET2 describes Quasar as an arrangement of stainless steel and light-guided acrylic forming elongated rhombus shapes, discreetly lit by LED and finished in Polished Chrome. On the larger pendants in the collection an aircraft cable kit lets you mount them vertically or horizontally at various angles.

Why You’ll Love It

The acrylic carries the light along the shape, so the glow follows the rhombus rather than coming from a visible bulb. The chrome ring and ends catch the room around it, so the small pendant sparkles even when off. At about 5.5 by 20.5 inches it is narrow, which suits pairs and rows. The LED has three dimming options: Triac, ELV or 0-10V.

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

Questions We Hear Most

Can the Quasar be hung horizontally?

ET2 supplies an aircraft cable kit for the larger Quasar pendants so they can hang vertically or horizontally. This listing is the mini pendant, so check with us if you want an angled hang.

How long is the cord on the Quasar, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 118 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 140 in. The shortest hang is 23 in, so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Quasar give?

Delivered output is 560 lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac, ELV or 0-10V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Quasar be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.

Where can I install the Quasar?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. Ceiling slope is not listed, so plan for a flat ceiling. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
