Mermaid is a mini pendant made of two shades set into each other, a Matte Black outer shade and a Metallic Gold inner shade. It comes in two sizes in Black / Metallic Gold.

The Design Story

The outer shade is bevel cut in the opposite direction to the inner shade, and the inner shade can rotate to give a different look. A frosted pane softly diffuses the recessed LED source.

Why You’ll Love It

The larger version gives 469 lumens and the smaller gives 330 lumens, both at 3000K. Each hangs from 120 inches of supplied wire.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

How do the two sizes differ?

The larger version is 18.25 inches tall, gives 469 lumens and is listed for Triac or ELV dimming. The smaller version is 9.25 inches tall, gives 330 lumens and is listed for Triac dimming only. Both come in Black / Metallic Gold.

How low does the Mermaid hang, and can I set the height?

The fixture body is 9.25 in (4.75 in), 18.25 in (9.75 x 8.75 in) tall. ET2 lists a maximum overall height of 131.25 in (4.75 in), 140.5 in (9.75 x 8.75 in) counting the fixture, canopy and the cord or wire, with 120 in of cord or wire supplied. The shortest hang is 12 in (4.75 in), 20.5 in (9.75 x 8.75 in). The overall height is set at install, so measure from the ceiling to where you want the fixture to sit.

How much light does the Mermaid give?

Delivered output in lumens is 330 (4.75 in), 469 (9.75 x 8.75 in), with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 80+.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac (4.75 in), Triac or ELV (9.75 x 8.75 in). Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Mermaid be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 25,000 hours.

Where can I install the Mermaid?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. Ceiling slope is not listed, so plan for a flat ceiling. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
