ET2 Diaphane LED Rock Crystal Pendant Light

Diaphane is a slim hexagonal column of natural rock crystal capped by a metal tube, lit from the top so the glow runs down through the stone. Each crystal is a little different.

It comes in 3 lengths: 15.75 in, 19.75 in and 23.75 in. Finishes: Black and Gold. Glass: Rock Crystal.

The Design Story

ET2 names Diaphane for the way each stone varies in diaphaneity, so no two crystals refract light the same way. The hexagonal aluminum tube supports the rock crystal, and the finish is plated soft Gold or Matte Black. The LED is integrated, and ET2 describes the collection as a luxurious light cluster with a coordinating wall sconce.

Why You’ll Love It

Three lengths are offered, about 16, 20 and 24 inches, so you can hang them as a staggered group, which is how the collection is meant to be shown, though a single one also works. Gold makes the quartz glow warmer, while Black frames the stone and sets off its translucence. Because each crystal is natural, the one you receive will have its own pattern. The fixture is only about 1.5 inches across, so it takes very little visual space.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match, and the board can be replaced if it ever needs service. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

Questions We Hear Most

Is every crystal the same?

No. Diaphane uses natural rock crystal, and ET2 notes that each stone varies in diaphaneity, so the refracted light is slightly different on each piece.

How long is the cord on the Diaphane, and can I set the hanging height?

Cord length is 118 in, which gives a maximum overall height of 133.75 in, 137.75 in or 141.75 in, by version. The shortest hang is 18.75 in, 22.75 in or 26.75 in, by version, so it can work over a low surface as well as in a taller space.

How much light does the Diaphane give?

Delivered output is 300 lumens, with a color temperature of 3000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Diaphane be replaced?

Yes. The LED board is replaceable and rated for 35,000 hours, so the fixture can be serviced instead of thrown away.

Where can I install the Diaphane?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. The canopy suits sloped ceilings up to 70 degrees. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.
