The Design Story

Elongated tubes of LED light sit in 1 inch diameter aluminum and hang from support cables that ET2 describes as nearly invisible. Each length has a power feed in a surface-mounted canopy, and the non-electrical support cables stand off from ceiling anchors.

Why You’ll Love It

The lengths range from 36 to 96 inches, and light output grows with length: 1800 lumens at 36 inches, 2100 at 48 inches and 4200 at 96 inches. Color temperature is selectable from 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, and dimming works with Triac, ELV or 0-10V.

Made for Real Life

The LED is built in, so there is no bulb to find or match. We suggest a dry microfiber cloth for the finish and no spray cleaners.

Not sure which finish to pick? Finishes explained walks through the options.

Putting It Together

ET2 posts an assembly sheet for each version: 36 in (PDF), 48 in (PDF) and 96 in (PDF). ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.

Where It Shines

Over a kitchen island, dining table, desk or hallway, and in open plan rooms. ET2 notes the continuous run design also suits commercial applications. It is dry rated, so keep it indoors.

Questions We Hear Most

Can I join lengths together?

ET2 engineers the lengths to connect end to end, or with rigid angled adapters. Each length includes its own power feed within a surface-mounted canopy. Ask us about the run you have in mind before you order.

How low does the Continuum hang, and can I set the height?

The fixture body is 1.25 in tall. ET2 lists a maximum overall height of 121 in counting the fixture, canopy and the cord or wire, with 118 in of cord or wire supplied. The shortest hang is 5 in. The overall height is set at install, so measure from the ceiling to where you want the fixture to sit.

How much light does the Continuum give?

Delivered output in lumens is 1800 (36 in), 2100 (48 in), 4200 (96 in), with a color temperature that is selectable: 3000K, 3500K and 4000K and CRI 90.

Will my dimmer work with it?

ET2 lists the dimming as Triac, ELV or 0-10V. Send us your dimmer model and we will help you confirm the match before you order.

Can the LED in the Continuum be replaced?

The LED is integrated and ET2 does not list the board as replaceable, so plan on it as a permanent light source with a rated life of 50,000 hours.

Where can I install the Continuum?

It is rated for dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of covered patios. Ceiling slope is not listed, so plan for a flat ceiling. ET2 recommends a qualified electrician for the install.

Why We Love It

It reduces a light fixture to a single 1 inch aluminum line on thin cables.
