The Kristall 8 brings a handmade shade to a covered porch, pergola or breezeway. Choose Clear, Smoke, Amber or Glitter, then an LED or incandescent lamp.
The Design Story
Outdoor lighting rarely gets handcrafted glass. A clear, ridged globe that catches every ray from the bulb, in Clear, Smoke or Amber, or in Glitter, where a crystal coating inside the glass turns the light into a soft sparkle. The cord is the easy way to hang it: 10 feet of black-jacketed cord that you cut to your drop. Besa’s signature is the glass. American designers work with European craftsmen, every shade is made by hand, and each one is inspected in Ohio before it leaves the factory, so the small variations you see are the mark of a handmade piece, not a flaw.
Why You’ll Love It
It gives a covered porch the polish of an indoor dining room: a single shade over a table, a pair at the ends of a pergola, or a row along a breezeway, each at its own height. The LED version is dimmable.
Made for Real Life
It mounts to a standard 4-inch box, sloped ceilings included, and it is damp rated for use under a covered ceiling outdoors, never in open weather. Our photos show the Kristall 8 in the black finish with each glass option. The hanging details sit in the table below. Pairs well with Pape 10 outdoor pendant, Rocky outdoor pendant, Zen outdoor pendant, Kristall 8 stem pendant (indoor), Kristall 8 cable pendant (indoor), Jilly outdoor pendant.
