Flower Shears in Aogami Blue Steel by Tobisho — slender Aogami steel blades for the florist’s clean, exact cut.
Made by Tobisho in Yamagata, Japan.
The Design Story
In Yamagata, where orchards and flower fields shape the year, Tobisho makes nothing but shears for plants. Each blade is cut from Yasuki Aogami, the “blue paper” steel Japanese smiths reserve for edges that must stay keen, and brazed by hand.
Why You’ll Love It
These are the shears for the moment a bouquet comes together. The long, narrow blades reach between stems without crushing them, and the Aogami edge makes a cut so clean the flowers drink better and last longer. In the hand they feel balanced and precise.
Made for Real Life
Wipe and dry them after use, store them inside, and give the blades a drop of oil once a year. The handle-end stopper keeps them shut in a drawer or apron.
