Trevi Pendant is a branching pendant of slim metal arms that meet at a central pillar, each arm ending in a globe of matt opal glass, made by CTO Lighting of London. It comes in 2 sizes: Small, with 3 globes and 43.3 in across, and Large, with 6 globes and 60.6 in across.

It comes in 2 finishes: Bronze and Satin Brass, each with matt opal glass.

The Design Story

CTO named Trevi for the fountain at the Piazza di Trevi in Rome. Slim arms meet at a central pillar and each ends in a globe of matt opal glass, so the fitting reads as a loose, branching composition. It comes with 3 globes in the Small and 6 in the Large.

The Story of CTO Lighting

Chris and Clare Turner founded CTO Lighting in London in 1998 on one principle: design lights of uncompromising quality, using only the finest materials and working with elite British craftsmen. Chris is an engineer who designs and builds with meticulous detail, and Clare brings the eye of fashion. Together they built a name for understated luxury in hand-finished brass, mouth-blown glass and artisan-cut stone, and the collection has gone on to light The Savoy, The Dorchester, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.

How It Was Made

CTO assembles every Trevi light to order in England. The arms are metal in bronze or satin brass, and each carries a globe of matt opal glass.

The Finishes

Bronze. Deep, rich color and a robust build bring a touch of historical weight to a modern room, with a warm, inviting glow.

Satin Brass. Warm golden tones and a brushed, satin surface give a soft sheen that feels luxurious but understated. CTO selects the metal for its durability and beauty.

Matt Opal Glass. Opal glass has a soft translucency that diffuses the light evenly and hides the bulb.

Made for Real Life

The 110-130V versions take E12 bulbs of 25W maximum each, or 4.5W LED bulbs at 2700K: 3 in the Small and 6 in the Large. They dim on a trailing-edge (phase-cut) dimmer with a dimmable bulb. Each comes with a 39.4 in (1000 mm) drop rod, 0.5 in (12.7 mm) thick, that you adjust on site. They weigh 13.2 lb and 22 lb, and CTO asks you to check that the ceiling can carry the load. Both are IP20 for dry indoor rooms. Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth and use a slightly damp cloth for marks. Skip detergents and abrasives.

CTO lists the Trevi Pendant Small at 43.3 in wide, 37.4 in deep and 10.4 in high (1100 x 950 x 265 mm) and the Large at 60.6 in wide, 39.8 in deep and 9.8 in high (1540 x 1010 x 250 mm). Both come with a 39.4 in (1000 mm) drop rod that you adjust on site.

Questions We Hear Most

Is Trevi Pendant dimmable?

Yes. CTO lists trailing-edge (phase-cut) dimming as standard for the 110-130V version, and calls for a dimmable bulb. DALI is listed only for 220-240V.

What do Small and Large mean?

The Small has 3 globes and measures 43.3 in (1100 mm) wide and 37.4 in (950 mm) deep. The Large has 6 globes and measures 60.6 in (1540 mm) wide and 39.8 in (1010 mm) deep. Both are about 10 in high.

How far does it hang?

It comes with a 39.4 in (1000 mm) drop rod that you adjust on site. The minimum overall drop is 14.8 in (375 mm) for the Small and 14.2 in (360 mm) for the Large.

What bulbs does it take?

Each globe takes an E12 bulb of up to 25W, or a 4.5W LED bulb at 2700K. The Small has 3 and the Large has 6. Use dimmable bulbs if you plan to dim it.

How heavy is it?

The Small weighs 13.2 lb (6 kg) and the Large 22 lb (10 kg). CTO notes that the ceiling structure must be able to carry it.

How do I clean it?

Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If a mark remains on the metal or the glass, use a slightly damp lint-free cloth, then dry it with a soft dry one. CTO advises against detergents and abrasive cleaners.
