Base finishes

Drawn by Namik Ozkaynak for sohoConcept, the Tango Ceramic Dining Table treats a dining table as something to be looked at as much as used, built around a 40 in solid grey ceramic top on round pedestal. The construction is contract grade, so it is as suited to a busy restaurant as to a dining room.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is tango round disc in brushed or polished stainless steel with a 27 in (68 cm) walnut-veneer steel post; gold, silver and thick black post versions. Each one is made in Türkiye. Namik Ozkaynak designed the Tango for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.

Living With It
