Sync is a bath vanity light from Maxim Lighting. It comes in 3 sizes: 2-Light, 5 in wide, 6-Light, 21 in wide and 8-Light, 27 in wide. Clear glass is paired with a Polished Chrome finish.
The Design Story
Sync encases rods of bubble glass inside a clear glass cylinder on a cast polished chrome frame. Dual LED modules light up the bubble glass and give ample light to the surface below.
Why You’ll Love It
An integrated LED does the work, so there are no bulbs to change; it puts out 310 to 1100 lumens. The light is a 3000K white. Maxim rates it for Triac CL dimming. Materials: metal, glass.
Not sure which finish to pick? Finishes explained walks through the options.
Putting It Together
Maxim posts an assembly sheet for each size: 2-Light, 5 in wide (PDF), 6-Light, 21 in wide (PDF) and 8-Light, 27 in wide (PDF). We recommend a qualified electrician for the install.

Where It Shines
Above the bathroom mirror, where it lights the face evenly for grooming and makeup, and over a powder-room or dressing-table mirror. Choose a length close to the width of the mirror, or a little shorter, for balanced light.

Does it need bulbs, and can I dim it?

How high should I mount it?
Over a mirror, a vanity light usually goes about 75 to 80 in from the floor, centered above the mirror. Beside a mirror, mount a pair at about eye level. It extends 5 in (12.7 cm) from the wall. Mounts facing up.
Can it go in a bathroom or outdoors?
It is damp rated, so it can go in bathrooms away from direct water and in covered outdoor spaces like porches.
Why We Love It
