The Design Story

Visual Comfort points to the hand-hammered metalwork of Sanchi, which gives each bar a unique look and feel. In the large pendant, Sean Lavin lets the bars curve in to a rounded base, so the cage reads as a clean, open shape instead of a solid shade. An integrated LED module sits in the base and washes light up through the bars, so the cage glows and throws a soft pattern of shadow.

The Polished Antique Brass finish carries a California Proposition 65 warning from Visual Comfort: it can expose you to chemicals including lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm (P65Warnings.ca.gov). The LED is integrated, so there are no bulbs to replace.
