With the Rumi Bentwood Bar Stool, sohoConcept and sohoConcept in-house design team set out to make an everyday stool feel tailored: an upholstered seat, cane back, wood frame. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.

The Design Story

sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.

Inside, the stool is built on solid bentwood, beech in dark brown finish or ash in black finish, with a ring footrest. The Rumi Bentwood Bar Stool comes from sohoConcept's in-house design team and is built to the same contract standard as the rest of the collection.
