Plume is a wall lamp with a slender arm and a feather-light metal shade, designed in 2017 by Christophe Pillet for Oluce.
It comes in 2 models, Plume 158 and Plume 159, both in anodic bronze.
The Design Story
Oluce, founded in Milan in 1945, describes Plume as a lamp that began as a bespoke design for the Sezz Hotel in Saint-Tropez. The shade is a thin metal surface folded slightly at the center, which suggests the shape of a feather and gives the lamp its name. On the wall, the shade reaches out from the plate on a slim arm and seems to float in the room.
The Designer
Christophe Pillet is a French designer known for hotels, boutiques and art direction. He has worked with Lacoste as design director and with brands such as Driade, Cappellini and Porro. For Oluce he has also designed the Berlin and Niwa lamps.
“Lucidity of expression and the search for simplicity are the key principles”
Christophe Pillet
How It Was Made
The lamp is made of metal with an anodic bronze finish. The arm and shade are formed from thin metal, and the shade is folded slightly in the middle to give it its feather shape.

Why You’ll Love It
Plume frees up the bedside table and the desk. The shade hangs out from the wall on a slim arm and sends warm light where you need it, over a bed, an armchair or a sofa. Choose between two models to suit the size of the wall and the room.
Made for Real Life
Plume 158 takes one E14 bulb up to 40W and Plume 159 takes one E27 bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are not included, so you can choose the warmth you like. The lamp mounts on the wall, and the assembly instructions are linked in Downloads. Wipe the metal with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid abrasive or solvent cleaners.
