Pablo Pardo and Fernando Pardo
Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection. Fernando Pardo, a designer for Sony, Dell and BMW, co-created it.
The Design Story
Pixo was designed by founder Pablo Pardo with his brother Fernando Pardo, a Venezuelan-born artist and designer with more than twenty years of experience creating products for the transportation, consumer electronics, office seating and medical industries. Their goal was maximum utility in a minimal footprint: a compact task light that pivots in three directions to put warm, glare-free light exactly where you need it.
