With the Patara Office Chair, sohoConcept and sohoConcept in-house design team set out to make an everyday office chair feel tailored: a winged upholstered seat on five-star caster base. Behind the quiet lines is contract-grade construction meant for years of daily use.

The Design Story

Since 2000, sohoConcept has worked from one idea: strip a piece back to what matters, then build it to last. That clean-lined language is equally at home in a residence or a hotel; the studio's furniture has been specified for W Hotels New York, Aloft Brooklyn and the Delta Hotels in Toronto.

Inside, the office chair is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs, molded injected polyurethane foam. The base is five-star full-tilt office base with gas-lift height adjustment, 360-degree swivel and casters; 25.5 in (65 cm) across in chrome, black or gold, or 26 in (66 cm) in aluminum. Each one is made in Türkiye. The Patara Office Chair comes from sohoConcept's in-house design team and is built to the same contract standard as the rest of the collection.

Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
