With the Pasha Wood Dining Armchair, sohoConcept and Tayfur Ozkaynak set out to make an everyday armchair feel tailored: an upholstered seat on solid beech legs. The construction is contract grade, so it is as suited to a busy restaurant as to a dining room.
The Design Story
Since 2000, sohoConcept has worked from one idea: strip a piece back to what matters, then build it to last. That clean-lined language is equally at home in a residence or a hotel; the studio's furniture has been specified for W Hotels New York, Aloft Brooklyn and the Delta Hotels in Toronto.
Inside, the armchair is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs, molded injected polyurethane foam. Each one is made in Türkiye. Tayfur Ozkaynak designed the Pasha for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.

Where It's Best Placed
At the head of a dining table, by a writing desk, or in a hotel suite.
Living With It
Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Keep wood away from direct heat and sun, and dust it with a dry cloth. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
