Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection.
The Design Story
Elise is one of founder Pablo Pardo’s own designs, a tribute to the advent of the machine age. Pardo, the Venezuelan-born industrial designer who founded Pablo Designs in San Francisco in 1993, built his career on beautiful, sparse, utilitarian lighting. Elise distills that into two elements: a refined machined-aluminum or polished marble base and a towering frosted column that glows from within like a lantern.
