What It Does
A post lantern is only as good as what holds it up. These are the parts that raise a Maxim lantern along a drive or front walk, or seat it on a pillar, wall cap or deck post: 3 in aluminum poles in 84 in and 120 in lengths, two of them with a built-in photocell, a fluted post wrap that dresses the foot of the pole, and three pier mounts, from a scrolled 10 in base to low cast and aluminum adapters.

Outdoor wiring runs up through the pole or pier and needs a GFCI-protected circuit, so we recommend a qualified electrician for the install.

Questions We Hear Most
Which pole do I need?
A burial pole is set straight into the ground, usually in a concrete footing, with 84 in of pole to work with. The anchor pole is also 84 in and comes with a photocell. The 120 in pole gives extra height where the lantern needs to clear a wall or hedge. All three are 3 in across.
What does the photocell do?
The photocell versions have a light sensor built into the pole, so the lantern on top turns on at dusk and off at dawn without a timer or switch.
What is a pier mount for?
A pier mount sits on a flat surface, such as the top of a pillar, a column, a wall cap or a deck post, and holds a post lantern there instead of on a pole. Choose the 10 in pier mount for a decorative scrolled base, or the cast or aluminum pier mounts for a low, simple base.
What does the post wrap do?
The post wrap is a fluted aluminum base cover, 18.25 in high, that slips around the foot of a 3 in pole for a finished, column-like look where the pole meets the ground.
Will these fit my post lantern?
Most post lanterns fit a 3 in pole; check the fitter size on your lantern's spec sheet. If you are not sure, send us your lantern's item number and we will confirm the fit before you order.
