Pablo Pardo with the Pablo Studio
Raised among artists and engineers in Venezuela, Pablo Pardo builds lights that are sparse, useful and quietly clever. He opened his San Francisco studio in 1993 and still leads it; his work has collected honors from ICFF, NeoCon, Interior Design, Red Dot and the German Design Award, and a piece of his sits in the SFMOMA collection. The Pablo Studio, the brand’s in-house team in San Francisco, engineered and refined it.
The Design Story
Nivél comes from Pablo Pardo and Pablo Studio in San Francisco, where Pardo, a Venezuelan-born industrial designer, founded Pablo Designs in 1993. It sits at the intersection of lighting and furniture: a light module that slides along a solid wood post, so you set the height of the glow wherever you want it. The cordless Nivél Table and Floor won a 2023 Interior Design HiP Award.
