The Design Story

Sean Lavin draws lighting the way an architect draws a doorway: as little as possible, in exactly the right place. Moneta pares a floor lamp down to three honest parts, a base, a stem and a disc. The disc is the whole idea. It reads as a graphic circle by day and, once lit, as a calm pool of warm light with no visible bulb and no glare.
