The Design Story
Visual Comfort traces the Midrand collection to the silhouette of the conical Grand Central Water Tower near Johannesburg in South Africa. Sean Lavin turned that form into geometric, streamlined metal shapes and paired them with crystal diffusers, so the light comes out soft and inviting instead of sharp. The result is a modern fixture with a strong outline and a gentle glow.
