The Design Story

Sean Lavin builds the Midrand lamps from three simple shapes: a line, a corner and a cone. In the Crystal edition he gives the cone a glass-clear underside, so the lamp shows a small, bright detail where the light leaves it. In brass, the finish warms with use. In bronze, it reads deeper and more architectural. Either way, the lamp keeps the pared-back silhouette that makes the whole collection easy to place.
