With the London Office Armchair, sohoConcept and sohoConcept in-house design team set out to make an everyday armchair feel tailored: a piped upholstered tub seat on five-star caster base. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.

The Design Story

sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.

The base is five-star full-tilt office base with gas-lift height adjustment, 360-degree swivel and casters; 25.5 in (65 cm) across in chrome, black or gold, or 26 in (66 cm) in aluminum. Each one is made in Türkiye. The London Office Armchair comes from sohoConcept's in-house design team and is built to the same contract standard as the rest of the collection.

Living With It

Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
