Drawn for sohoConcept, the Liu Jo Living Caillou Sofa treats a sofa as something to be looked at as much as used, built around an upholstered three-seater on black steel legs. Behind the quiet lines is contract-grade construction meant for years of daily use.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is black steel.
