Leano 20 Pendant by Sean Lavin for Visual Comfort

The Leano 20 Pendant by Sean Lavin is a dome of clear glass with a ribbed band, hung from a slim brass stem over a single candelabra bulb. At 20 inches tall and 14 inches wide it is the larger of the two Leano dome pendants. It comes in Bronze or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass.

The Design Story

Sean Lavin drew the Leano series around a contrast: straight, angular brass lines against soft, rounded cylindrical shades. The glass is precision-cut with fine ribs that soften the light and add a subtle detail. Visual Comfort describes it as a sophisticated statement for spaces from dining rooms to bathrooms.

Why You'll Love It

Leano 20 is made for a dining table, a kitchen island, a stair hall or an entry, where you want a tall glass dome with a clear view of the ribs. It is 14 inches wide and 20 inches tall, and the minimum height is 27.4 inches with an overall height of up to 86.3 inches. It takes one E12 candelabra bulb and dims on ELV and TRIAC dimmers.

Built for Damp Locations

Visual Comfort lists Leano 20 Pendant for indoor damp locations and outdoor spaces under cover, such as a covered porch. The frame is solid brass and the shade is clear glass with a ribbed band that softens the light.

Where It Shines

Over a dining table, a kitchen island, a stair hall or an entry, alone or in a row of two or three.

Who This Is Not For

Leano 20 is a tall glass dome with a single small candelabra bulb, so it gives soft, decorative light and not strong task light. For a bright work surface, pair it with other lighting, or look at a pendant with more output. It weighs 22 lb, so plan the ceiling support.

Questions We Hear Most

How big is the Leano 20 Pendant?

The pendant is 14 inches wide and deep and 20 inches tall, and it weighs 22 pounds. It hangs from a 5 inch round canopy.

How low or high can it hang?

Visual Comfort lists a minimum height of 27.4 inches and an overall height of up to 86.3 inches, so you can set the drop to suit the room.

What bulb does it use, and can I dim it?

It takes one E12 candelabra T6 bulb. Visual Comfort lists it for ELV and TRIAC dimmers, so use a bulb that is rated dimmable.

What finishes does it come in?

Bronze and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass. The canopy, the stem and the fittings are finished to match, and the glass is clear with a ribbed band in every finish.

Can I use it outdoors?

Visual Comfort lists it for indoor damp locations and outdoor spaces under cover, such as a covered porch. It is not for fully exposed outdoor use.

Can I hang it with the other Leano pendants?

Yes. Leano 20 and Leano 13 share the same dome shape and ribbed band in two sizes, so they work well together at different heights over a long table or island.

Why We Love It

Leano 20 puts a tall ribbed glass dome on a brass stem and lets the light soften through the glass. Set the drop and it is ready.
