Leano 15 Pendant by Sean Lavin for Visual Comfort

The Leano 15 Pendant by Sean Lavin is a tall, slim cylinder of ribbed glass with a frosted inner diffuser, hung from a fine cord. It runs on a small low-voltage bulb and fits a narrow spot over a counter, a bedside or an entry. Choose Bronze or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, then choose how it mounts.

The Design Story

Sean Lavin drew the Leano series around a contrast: straight, angular brass lines against soft, rounded cylindrical shades. The glass is precision-cut with fine ribs that soften the light and add a subtle detail. Visual Comfort describes it as a sophisticated statement for spaces from dining rooms to bathrooms.

Why You'll Love It

Leano 15 is made for a row over a kitchen counter or a bar, a pair at a bedside, or a single accent in an entry or a stair hall. It is 3.5 inches wide and 14.6 inches tall, with a minimum hanging height of 21.1 inches. It takes a 5 watt maximum bi-pin bulb and dims on an MLV low-voltage electronic dimmer.

Built for Dry Locations

Leano 15 Pendant is ETL listed for indoor dry locations. The frame is solid brass and the shade is ribbed glass with a frosted inner diffuser that softens the light.

Where It Shines

In a row over a counter or a bar, in a pair at a bedside, or alone in an entry, a stair hall or a narrow nook.

Who This Is Not For

A single Leano 15 is a slim accent and not a work light, and it is not rated for damp or outdoor spaces. For a counter or a table, hang several in a row, and plan separate task lighting where you need it. The FreeJack and MonoRail versions also need a canopy, port or connector, sold separately.

Questions We Hear Most

How big is the Leano 15 Pendant?

The glass cylinder is 3.5 inches across and 14.6 inches tall, and the pendant weighs 3 pounds. The MonoPoint version has a 4.4 inch round canopy.

How low or high can it hang?

Visual Comfort lists a minimum hanging height of 21.1 inches. The fixture hangs on a fine cord, so you can set the drop to suit the room.

What do FreeJack, MonoRail and MonoPoint mean?

They are three ways to mount the same pendant. FreeJack and MonoRail need a Visual Comfort FreeJack canopy or port, or a MonoRail FreeJack connector, which is sold separately. MonoPoint includes its own canopy. The glass, the bulb and the finishes are the same in all three.

What bulb does it use, and can I dim it?

It takes one GY6.35 T4 bi-pin bulb of up to 5 watts. The included bulb is 4 watts at 2700K and 90 CRI. Visual Comfort lists it for an MLV low-voltage electronic dimmer.

What finishes does it come in?

Bronze and Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, with a ribbed glass cylinder in both.

Can I use it in a bathroom or outdoors?

No. Visual Comfort lists it for indoor dry locations only, so keep it out of bathrooms with a shower and out of outdoor spaces.

Why We Love It

Leano 15 gives a narrow space a slim ribbed glass column and a clean line. Set the drop and it is ready.
