The Lady Glass Counter or Bar Table by Namik Ozkaynak is sohoConcept's take on the table as a crafted object: a 28 in clear glass on chrome pedestal. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is round, chrome-plated solid steel, 19.5 in (50 cm) across. Namik Ozkaynak designed the Lady for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.
