La Fête Design is the brainchild of Angie Thornbury, ASID/CID, and is made in Valencia, California.
Her work is drawn as soft, rounded, modular forms, each one meant to read as a shape in the landscape before it reads as furniture.
The Design Story
Its pentagon shape lets benches and chairs meet it at different angles, so a corner, a curve or a standalone island can be composed without gaps. It brings an unexpected, faceted silhouette to a line of otherwise calm forms, and works as a statement piece as much as a footrest.
What sets La Fête apart is the form itself: rounded, patented, and drawn to be approached from every side, then upholstered in Chill White, an open canvas for embroidery or slipcovers, or in ten further vinyl colors.
