Her work is drawn as soft, rounded, modular forms, each one meant to read as a shape in the landscape before it reads as furniture.
The Design Story
The Surf lounge is a long, low S-curve, and the pillow is drawn to belong to it. Rather than a loose throw cushion that slides away, it is a sculpted form, ergonomically shaped for comfort on the Surf, that reads as part of the same line.
It is a quiet reminder of how La Fête is designed: Angie Thornbury draws each piece as a shape in the landscape, then adds the small forms that make it livable. The vinyl matches the lounge, or you can choose a second color on purpose.
