La Fête Design is the brainchild of Angie Thornbury, ASID/CID, and is made in Valencia, California.
Her work is drawn as soft, rounded, modular forms, each one meant to read as a shape in the landscape before it reads as furniture.
The Design Story
With no frame and no cushions it becomes a stage for the people on it, usable from every side. As the smallest of the three Play Pad sizes it suits private residences, and the brand suggests it can even replace sofa seating indoors with custom upholstery.
What sets La Fête apart is the form itself: rounded, patented, and drawn to be approached from every side, then upholstered in Chill White, an open canvas for embroidery or slipcovers, or in ten further vinyl colors.
