Crib Queen Daybed, Sculpted Resort Bed by Angie Thornbury
The Crib is La Fête's queen-size resort bed, 60 in by 80 in, and its design trick is lightness: a thick, soft-cornered slab floats over a narrower base, so something this large appears to hover.

Meet the Designer
Designed by
Angie Thornbury, ASID/CID
La Fête Design is the brainchild of Angie Thornbury, ASID/CID, and is made in Valencia, California.
Her work is drawn as soft, rounded, modular forms, each one meant to read as a shape in the landscape before it reads as furniture.
The Design Story
Dress it with Lean wedges for a headboard, a canopy for a private cabana or a Stack for a second level. It is a platform on which hospitality and design-aware residences can build a scene, in Chill White or any of ten more vinyl colors.
What sets La Fête apart is the form itself: rounded, patented, and drawn to be approached from every side, then upholstered in Chill White, an open canvas for embroidery or slipcovers, or in ten further vinyl colors.
Why You'll Love It
- Top slab 6 in thick over a 54 in wide x 10 in high base with rounded corners (technical drawing)
- Made in Valencia, California, and shipped fully assembled
- Custom C.O.M. slipcovers and logo personalization can be arranged through the brand's sales team
Made for Real Life
- Allow a 60 x 80 in footprint with a path on each side.
- Plan on two people to position its 75 lb; it arrives assembled, so confirm door, gate and elevator widths.
- The brand states this item cannot ship by FedEx Ground and is delivered by scheduled special delivery.
- Add one or two Lean wedges as a headboard, a Roll as an arm or a Stack for drinks.
- The optional terrycloth cover is ordered separately.
- Repeat one vinyl color on Cot and Stand pieces from the line for a coordinated set.
Wipe with mild dish soap and warm water, then rinse with clear water. For a stubborn mark, use a soft brush with a gentle non-abrasive cleanser and light pressure, because abrasive products can dull the vinyl's protective finish. The brand also sells its own vinyl cleaner and conditioning cream, and a damaged or outdated cover can be replaced.
Worth knowing
- Spaces without roughly 5 x 7 ft of clear floor plus walkways
- Buyers who want a framed bed with legs and a mattress
- Projects needing a published weight capacity, warranty term or lead time
- Anyone who prefers woven, wood or fabric-cushion materials
