The Design Story

Sean Lavin designs lighting by working with light, form and material, drawing on art, architecture, travel and technology. Kennett takes its cue from the form of a mushroom, a rounded cap on a narrow stem. In travertine the shape becomes a piece of sculpture: the stone's banding and pores run across the whole dome, so the lamp looks quarried rather than manufactured.
