Top. The free-form top comes in white lacquer or walnut veneer, on a brushed stainless steel round pedestal base.
Base finishes
The Island Coffee Table by Namik Ozkaynak is sohoConcept's take on the coffee table as a crafted object: an organic top on tango round steel base. The construction is contract grade, so it is as suited to a busy restaurant as to a dining room.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is tango round pedestal, brushed (matte) stainless steel, 16.5 in (42 cm) diameter. Each one is made in Türkiye. Namik Ozkaynak designed the Island for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.
