Hotel-Python is two lights in one body. Jonathan Daifuku paired a soft cotton shade with a bendable reading light, and gave each its own switch.
Carpyen made it for bedrooms and hotels where comfort and practicality matter equally.
The Design Story
Daifuku designed it in 2005, and it has stayed in the Carpyen range since. A metal structure carries a cotton shade that gives soft, ambient light. A slim flexible arm, which bends up to 90 degrees, holds a small LED for directed reading light with an 80 degree beam. Both switches sit on the base, within easy reach. It comes in nickel with white, or white with white.
About the Designer
Jonathan Daifuku leads Daifuku Designs in Barcelona, a studio that brings together function, simplicity and poetry in lighting and furniture. His pieces are known for clean lines, sustainable materials and a deep respect for craft.

About Carpyen
Carpyen was founded in Barcelona in 1948 and still makes its lamps in its own Barcelona workshops, joining art, craft and industry from classic standards to fully custom pieces. Its lights hang in hotels such as the Mercure Versailles, Paris J'adore and L'Esquisse, and the brand received an ADI-FAD Delta award in 1982.
