With the Harput Pyramid-MW Swivel Arm Stool, sohoConcept and Tayfur Ozkaynak set out to make an everyday stool feel tailored: a counter or bar, on veneered steel legs. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is swivel hub on four splayed steel legs with footrest ring; walnut or natural wood veneer with chrome footrest, or black with brass footrest. Each one is made in Türkiye. Tayfur Ozkaynak designed the Harput for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.

At a kitchen island, a home bar or a café counter, where its profile is seen from every side.
Living With It
Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Keep wood away from direct heat and sun, and dust it with a dry cloth. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
