The Design Story
Sean Lavin drew Forge from the industrial age and modernized it with a lazy cord and a decorative brass heat-sink housing and canopy. The result is a bold industrial-inspired statement that reads well in each of its finishes.
Why You'll Love It
Forge X-Large Short Pendant suits a kitchen island, a dining table, a bar or an entry. It ships with 12 feet of field-cuttable cord and can hang from 18.6 to 156.6 inches. The integrated 2700K LED dims on ELV, TRIAC and 0-10V dimmers.
Built for Damp Locations
Forge X-Large Short Pendant is ETL listed for damp locations. It is for indoor use only. The shade is spun aluminum, the housing and canopy are brass, and the LED modules are integrated, so there are no bulbs to replace.

Where It Shines
Over a kitchen island, a dining table, a bar, a reading corner or an entry.
Who This Is Not For
Spun metal shades are directional: the light goes down and the shade does not glow. If you want an all-over glow, look for a glass or fabric shade, and plan separate task lighting where you need it.
Questions We Hear Most
How big is the Forge X-Large Short Pendant?
The shade is 24 inches across and 10.7 inches tall. It hangs from a round canopy that measures 6.7 inches across and 1.5 inches deep.
How low or high can it hang?
Visual Comfort lists a hanging height from 18.6 to 156.6 inches. It ships with 12 feet of field-cuttable black cloth cord, so it can be trimmed to the right drop.
What should I know about the Natural Brass parts?
Natural Brass is a living finish: it develops a patina and warms with age. If it goes uneven or spotty, a brass cleaner can restore it.
Can I dim it?
Yes. Visual Comfort lists it for most LED compatible ELV, TRIAC and 0-10V dimmers, and it runs on 120V to 277V.
What finishes does it come in?
This listing is offered in Matte White Natural Brass. The housing and canopy are Natural Brass.
Can I use it in a bathroom or other damp room?
Yes. It is listed for damp locations indoors, which covers a bathroom or other humid room. It is not listed for outdoor use.
Why We Love It
Forge X-Large Short Pendant gives a room an industrial-inspired shape with a warm brass detail. Trim the cord to height and it is ready.
