FontanaArte Uovo Portable Table Lamp

Milano, Italy 🇮🇹ETL pending

The Uovo Portable by Ben Swildens for FontanaArte is a rechargeable, cordless version of the Uovo egg lamp in white satin blown glass. A transparent touch button turns it on and off and adjusts the light, and it is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

A natural form and timeless symbol of perfection, in which symmetry and asymmetry harmoniously coexist.

The Design Story

Uovo was designed in 1972, and the shell of the egg contained a light source: an ironic idea that still works today. The shell is the embodiment of absolute lightness, an elegant form in white satin blown glass that gives off a warm, uniform light. The Portable version dates from 2023.
