The Design Story
Falcon pairs a sleek, smaller cylinder housing with weatherproof ABS blades, and it is offered in several technical builds so one design fits many spaces: a high-efficiency DC motor with wet location construction and a hardwired DC wall control for open outdoor spaces, or more economical AC motors rated for damp locations, with a wall control or a simple pull chain. Every version carries an LED light kit.

It is offered with an AC or a DC motor and a reverse setting that pushes warm air down in winter. It moves up to 5,269 cubic feet of air per minute on high, at up to 160 CFM per watt. ENERGY STAR certified. It comes with a pull chain or a wall control or a remote and a wall control, depending on the version. Where It Shines
In bedrooms, living rooms, family rooms and kitchens, where moving air makes a room feel several degrees cooler in summer, and the reverse setting pushes warm air down from the ceiling in winter. A fan with a light also replaces the ceiling fixture, so one box does both jobs.

What size room is the Falcon fan right for?
Its 52 in span suits rooms of about 144 to 225 sq ft or a little more, such as most bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms.
Will it work with my ceiling height?
On a standard 9 ft ceiling the fan hangs on its short rod; on taller ceilings, add a longer downrod so the blades sit about 8 to 9 ft above the floor. Maxim downrods are sold separately. The blades sit 13.43 in (34.1 cm) below the ceiling on the standard mount.
How do I control it?
It comes with a pull chain or a wall control or a remote and a wall control. Maxim also sells wall controls and remotes separately.
Does it have a light?
Yes, an LED light is built in. There are no bulbs to change on the integrated LED versions.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
That depends on the version: damp rated (AC motor, Pull chain); damp rated (AC motor, Wall control); wet rated (DC motor, Remote and wall control). Wet rated can take direct rain; damp rated belongs under a roof; dry rated is for indoors.
