Drawn by sohoConcept in-house design team for sohoConcept, the Eiffel Pyramid Wood Swivel Counter or Bar Stool treats a stool as something to be looked at as much as used, built around an upholstered on solid wood. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.

The Design Story

sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.

Inside, the stool is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs, molded injected polyurethane foam. The base is solid wood pyramid swivel base with metal footrest; beech with walnut finish or natural ash with chrome footrest, or American walnut with a white mechanism and chrome footrest or a black mechanism and gold footrest. The Eiffel Pyramid Wood Swivel Counter or Bar Stool comes from sohoConcept's in-house design team and is built to the same contract standard as the rest of the collection.

Where It's Best Placed

At a kitchen island, a home bar or a café counter, where its profile is seen from every side.

Living With It

Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Keep wood away from direct heat and sun, and dust it with a dry cloth. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
