Seat upholstery. Faux leather is the entry option. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather, the velvet is a soft, dense pile, and the Camira Era, Yoredale boucle and Blazer wool are woven contract fabrics. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.
Base finishes
With the Dervish Adjustable Piston Stool, sohoConcept and sohoConcept in-house design team set out to make an everyday stool feel tailored: an upholstered seat, half footrest base. The construction is contract grade, so it is as suited to a busy restaurant as to a dining room.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
Inside, the stool is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs, molded in injected polyurethane foam. The base is 16.5 in (42 cm) round base in polished or brushed stainless steel, black, polished gold or brushed gold, or 17.7 in (45 cm) square base in brushed stainless steel; half-moon footrest. Each one is made in Türkiye. The Dervish Adjustable Piston Stool comes from sohoConcept's in-house design team and is built to the same contract standard as the rest of the collection.

Living With It
Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
