The Daisy Glass Dining Table by Namik Ozkaynak is sohoConcept's take on the dining table as a crafted object: a 32 in clear tempered glass on 5-star pedestal. The construction is contract grade, so it is as suited to a busy restaurant as to a dining room.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
The base is daisy 5-star steel base with 27 in (68 cm) dining post; chrome, gold, black or silver. Namik Ozkaynak designed the Daisy for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.
