Seat upholstery. PPM is a polyurethane performance leather with a soft, leather-like hand. The gold velvet is a plush pile fabric. Camira Era is a woven contract fabric, and Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract fabric in deeper, richer colors. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

With the Crescent Spider Swivel Chair, sohoConcept and Tayfur Ozkaynak set out to make an everyday chair feel tailored: an upholstered seat on aluminum spider base. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
Inside, the chair is built on a steel frame with S-shaped springs, encased in injection-molded polyurethane foam. The base is five-spoke aluminum spider swivel base, polished, black or brass finish, with glides or optional office casters. Tayfur Ozkaynak designed the Crescent for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.

Living With It
Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
