CounterMax 24V Slim Stick is an LED under-cabinet light from Maxim Lighting. It comes in 5 lengths, from 6 in to 48 in. It is finished in Brushed Aluminum.
The Design Story
Slim Stick 24V is a narrow aluminum channel of LED made to disappear under a cabinet or shelf. An adjustable bracket aims the light where the work happens, and it runs from a plug-in or a hardwired power supply, sold separately. Lengths run from 6 in to 48 in, and a full set of cords, connectors and dimmers lets one run turn corners and link cabinet to cabinet.
Why You’ll Love It
An integrated LED does the work, so there are no bulbs to change; it puts out 260 to 1560 lumens. The light is a 3000K white. CRI 90 light shows colors and food as they really are. Maxim rates the LED for 35,000 hours. JA8 listed for California Title 24. Materials: aluminum.

Where It Shines
Under kitchen wall cabinets, where it lights the counter you work on without the shadow your body casts under a ceiling light. It also works under shelves, in bookcases and display cabinets, over a desk or a bar, and inside closets.
Questions We Hear Most
Which length do I need?
Pick the longest length that fits inside the cabinet's bottom frame, usually a few inches shorter than the cabinet is wide. For a long run of cabinets, use one light per cabinet and link them. Mount the light toward the front edge of the cabinet so the light falls across the counter. CounterMax 24V Slim Stick comes in 6 in, 12 in, 24 in, 36 in, 48 in.
How does it connect?
It is a 24V low-voltage light, so it runs from a CounterMax 24V plug-in or hardwired driver, sold separately. Connecting cords and corner connectors, also sold separately, link lights into one run.
Does it need bulbs, and can I dim it?
It has a built-in LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change. Dimming depends on the driver and dimmer; see Maxim's spec sheet for compatible dimmers.
Can it go near a sink or in a damp space?
It is damp rated, so it can go in bathrooms away from direct water, in laundry rooms and in covered outdoor spaces like porches.
