Drawn for sohoConcept, the Corona Handle Back Wire Dining Chair treats a dining chair as something to be looked at as much as used, built around a fully upholstered shell on wire sled. Behind the quiet lines is contract-grade construction meant for years of daily use.

The Design Story

sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.

Inside, the dining chair is built on a molded plywood, fully upholstered front and back. The base is solid steel wire sled with an integrated handle at the back, chrome finish. Each one is made in Türkiye.

Living With It

Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Keep wood away from direct heat and sun, and dust it with a dry cloth. Wipe metal with a dry microfiber cloth; skip scouring pads.
