Contour is a long, sculptural pendant of textured kiln glass in antique bronze, designed by Dan Yeffet for CTO Lighting of London. It is 70.9 in long, made as a focal point over a dining table or in an entrance hall.
It comes in 2 finishes: Antique Bronze with Bronze Kiln Glass or with Clear Kiln Glass, and 2 canopy options: a ceiling plate or a ceiling rose.
The Design Story
Contour is a study in texture, materiality and light. Dan Yeffet took his cue from the organic lines of tree bark and layered irregular cast glass over patinated metal, so the lit glass throws a dramatic play of shadow and illumination. The raw elegance of nature is reinterpreted in a refined, architectural form.
The Designer: Dan Yeffet
Dan Yeffet runs a Paris design studio, recently accredited to the AD100. His work stretches from space to objects and everything in between, from classic craft to cutting-edge technology: furniture, glass sculptures, lights, conceptual and urban spaces, gallery objects and limited series. CTO describes it as innovative, simple and yet with a strong identity. He also designed CTO’s Pendulum collection.

The Story of CTO Lighting
Chris and Clare Turner founded CTO Lighting in London in 1998 on one principle: design lights of uncompromising quality, using only the finest materials and working with elite British craftsmen. Chris is an engineer who designs and builds with meticulous detail, and Clare brings the eye of fashion. Together they built a name for understated luxury in hand-finished brass, mouth-blown glass and artisan-cut stone, and the collection has gone on to light The Savoy, The Dorchester, St Pancras Renaissance Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.
How It Was Made
CTO assembles every light to order. The glass is cast in irregular, textured kiln-glass panels and framed in antique bronze with its natural patina. An integrated LED lights the glass from within.
The Finishes
Antique Bronze. Rich, deep tones with a natural patina. Each fixture shows the character of the material and the hand of the British artisans who finish it.
Bronze Kiln Glass. The same irregular, bark-like cast glass in a bronze tint, which gives the light a warmer, deeper tone.
Clear Kiln Glass. Irregular cast glass with a deep, bark-like texture. It stays clear, so it diffuses the light softly while the antique bronze frame shows through.

Yes. CTO lists the integrated 58W LED as dimmable with a trailing-edge (phase-cut) dimmer.
What is the difference between the ceiling plate and the ceiling rose?
They are the two canopy options for the same pendant. CTO lists a 4.6 x 4.6 x 0.3 in (116 x 116 x 8 mm) plate for the ceiling plate option, and the ceiling rose is the alternative style of canopy. Pick the one you prefer; the light itself is the same.
How long is it and how far can it hang?

How do I clean it?
Dust with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth. If a mark remains, use a slightly damp lint-free cloth, then dry it with a soft dry one. CTO advises against detergents and abrasive cleaners on metal and glass.
