Meet the Designer
Designed by
John August, 2026
John August is a San Francisco–based furniture and product designer who brings a craftsman’s sensitivity and a machinist’s precision to his work. Equally at home with traditional hand tools, digital modeling and CNC machinery, he takes a hands-on approach to design and engineering. His fascination with geometric forms guides an exploration of materials and processes, creating objects that bridge art and function.
The Design Story
Ciro Wall extends the Ciro collection into a pin-up format, bringing the same fluid, continuous geometry to the wall. Pablo Designs has made lighting in San Francisco since 1993.
Why You’ll Love It
The head swivels, so one small light does several jobs: a focused reading beam beside the bed, a task light over a desk, or a soft wash on the wall. It is glare-free and dims across its full range.
Made for Real Life
Corded, so there is no hardwiring to plan around. Pablo lists a global multi-plug adapter, 120–240V input and ETL and CE certification.
