Seat. Every Cattelan seat is carved from one solid hardwood: antique-brushed ash, sungkai, mindi in a wenge finish, teak in a walnut finish, or American walnut, which costs a little more. Grain and tone vary from seat to seat, and screens show wood slightly differently than real life.
The Cattelan Baba Counter or Bar Stool is sohoConcept's take on the stool as a crafted object: a solid wood seat on solid wood legs. It is built to contract standards, for homes as well as restaurants and hotels.
The Design Story
sohoConcept began in 2000 with a focus on the essentials: lasting construction, honest materials and a clean line. Its collection moves easily between residential rooms and contract projects, from the Paramount Hotel in Manhattan to Milos restaurant in Miami and The Atlantis resort in the Bahamas.
The base is solid wood with stretchers, in teak (wenge finish) or sungkai (white oak finish).
