The Calvin Coffee Table by Namik Ozkaynak is sohoConcept's take on the coffee table as a crafted object: a clear 12 mm glass on polished steel frames. Behind the quiet lines is contract-grade construction meant for years of daily use.
The Design Story
sohoConcept was founded in 2000 around a short brief: design down to the essentials, and let long-term durability and quality show through a clean-lined form language. The same pieces are made for homes and for contract interiors, and the studio's work has furnished W Hotels and the Paramount Hotel in New York, The Atlantis in the Bahamas and the CN Tower in Toronto.
Inside, the coffee table is built on two polished (bright) stainless steel end frames. Namik Ozkaynak designed the Calvin for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.
