Builder Cast is an outdoor post light from Maxim Lighting. It comes in 2 sizes: 1-Light, 7 x 15.25 in and 3-Light, 8.75 x 21.25 in. Clear glass is paired with a choice of Black or White.
The Design Story
Builder Cast is a straightforward aluminum lantern line with Early American lines and clear glass, made for everyday home exteriors. Five finishes, Black, Empire Bronze, Pewter, Rust Patina and White, let it follow the trim or door color. Wall lanterns flank an entry or garage, and post lanterns mark a drive or walkway, all rated for wet locations.
Why You’ll Love It
It takes E26 Medium bulbs up to 60W per socket, which makes it easy to choose your own color temperature and brightness. Materials: die cast aluminum.

Putting It Together
Maxim posts an assembly sheet for each size: 1-Light, 7 x 15.25 in (PDF) and 3-Light, 8.75 x 21.25 in (PDF). Outdoor fixtures need a weatherproof junction box and a GFCI-protected circuit, so we recommend a qualified electrician for the install.

Which finishes and options are available?
It comes in Black or White. Not every combination is made in every size; the options above show only the versions Maxim produces.
Which bulbs does it use, and can I dim it?
Each socket takes an E26 Medium bulb up to 60W. A warm 2700K LED bulb gives a soft, welcoming glow. Bulbs are not included.
How does it mount?
It mounts on top of an outdoor post or pole; the post is sold separately. A post light along a walk is usually set so the light sits about 6 to 7 ft above the ground.
Can it handle rain and weather?
Yes. It is wet rated, so it can take direct rain and snow on an open wall, post or yard, as well as covered porches.
