The Design Story
Sean Lavin started from the lotus flower and translated each petal into a flat LED light guide, so the light comes from the shape itself rather than from a bulb hidden inside it.
The frame is kept almost invisible. In daylight you see a graceful outline; at night the petals fill with soft, even light. That contrast is the whole point.

It is a true statement piece that never feels heavy, because there is nothing to it but line and light. The 90 CRI LEDs make food, art and skin look natural, the finishes change its character completely, and Visual Comfort designed the family to be clustered like a bouquet.
Made for Real Life
There are no bulbs to change: the LED is built in. The brass is a living finish that deepens with age. Dust the frame with a dry cloth. It mounts on rigid stems, so you can set the drop precisely. Pair it with an LED-compatible ELV or TRIAC dimmer to go from bright to candle-soft.

Which Belterra 30 finish works with my palette?
Our take: black gives a crisp, graphic outline; brass brings warmth to wood and earthy tones; nickel feels bright and luminous.
Can the Belterra 30 be the only light in the room?
In a smaller room, yes: it gives 2,399 lumens at 90 CRI. In a larger space, layer it with lamps or recessed lights.
Is the Belterra 30 the right size for my space?
At 34.2″ across, it looks balanced over tables at least 40″ wide, or round tables of 46–68″. See the sizing chart above for ceiling heights.
Will the Belterra 30 work outside under a roof?
Yes. Visual Comfort rates it for damp interiors and outdoor spaces under cover, so a loggia or covered patio is fine; keep it out of direct rain.
Will I ever change a bulb in the Belterra 30?
There are no bulbs. The light comes from built-in LED modules, installed at the factory.
How is the Belterra 30 hung?
It is rod (stem) mounted; in the box: (4) 12" and (2) 6" rigid stems in coordinating finish. Sloped ceilings up to 15°. A licensed electrician should install it.
How soon can the Belterra 30 arrive?
All the versions we offer are in stock right now, and in-stock pieces usually leave within 2–3 business days.
