Seat upholstery. Black faux leather and caramel PPM-FR are the entry options. Cherry velvet is a soft pile fabric, and dark grey or silver Camira Blazer is a pure new wool contract fabric. Screens show color slightly differently than real life.

With the Barcelona X-Wood Ottoman, sohoConcept and Tayfur Ozkaynak set out to make an everyday ottoman feel tailored: an upholstered footstool on solid ash base. Behind the quiet lines is contract-grade construction meant for years of daily use.

The Design Story

Since 2000, sohoConcept has worked from one idea: strip a piece back to what matters, then build it to last. That clean-lined language is equally at home in a residence or a hotel; the studio's furniture has been specified for W Hotels New York, Aloft Brooklyn and the Delta Hotels in Toronto.

The base is solid ash X base in a walnut finish. Each one is made in Türkiye. Tayfur Ozkaynak designed the Barcelona for sohoConcept and offers the one silhouette on a choice of bases and heights, so the same design can carry from a dining room to a kitchen counter or a lounge.

About the Designer

Tayfur Ozkaynak designed many of the chairs and stools in the sohoConcept collection. The Barcelona X-Wood Ottoman is one of them, and, like his other work for the studio, it pairs a carefully shaped seat with a choice of bases and heights so a single silhouette can run through a whole project.

Living With It

Clean leather-look and leather seats with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry them. Vacuum woven fabrics with a soft brush attachment and blot spills straight away; never rub. Keep wood away from direct heat and sun, and dust it with a dry cloth.
